As Canada gears up to celebrate thrifting tomorrow for National Thrift Shop Day, The Salvation Army Thrift Store will be giving a special surprise to a few lucky thrifters in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
“On National Thrift Shop Day (August 17th) we want to celebrate not only thrift and the work that we do in our communities, but also, our guests who make it possible,” said Michele Walker, National Retail Operations Manager for The Salvation Army Thrift Store.
The Thrift Store will be showing appreciation around the GTA at selected surprise store locations randomly selecting a guest at different times throughout the day to receive their entire purchase free of charge.
“We are so excited to see the reactions of those few lucky guests who will go home feeling the spirit of thrift in a whole new way, ” Walker added. “You never know who will be going home a special winner on Thursday!”
The lucky guests will receive a special giveaway package and five star party treatment from the Thrift Store team. The Salvation Army Thrift Store’s 108 locations will also be hosting a special one-day only 25% OFF all items event to commeorate National Thrift Shop Day.
“We encourage all the treasure hunters to come out and thrift for those vintage finds, savings and to celebrate the work you do by shopping and donating with us in your communities,” said Walker.
